Do you need planning permission for a garden office?
In most cases you don’t need planning permission for a garden office, providing it is for personal use, doesn’t require running water and meets certain rules regarding size and location.
A garden office typically falls under a “permitted development”, so long as it’s 2.5m in height or less if it’s within 2m of any boundary and does not take up more than 50% of your garden.
Still unsure about whether you need planning permission, our team is happy to assist with any questions. Alternatively you can find more information on the planning portal.
